Crimson Trace Kahr CW9-PM40 Polymer OM FA

Crimson Trace Kahr CW9-PM40 Laserguard, Polymer Overmold, Front Activation

So you carry a Kahr pistol and want faster target acquisition without changing your grip feel. This Laserguard delivers that. The Crimson Trace LG-437 mounts to your trigger guard, not your grip panel. Polymer and rubber construction. Front activation, no separate switch to hunt for.

This is genuine Crimson Trace Kahr CW9-PM40 Polymer OM FA engineering, built specifically for the Kahr platform. Also, this is not a universal trigger guard laser. First, it locks securely onto the trigger guard itself, not the grip. Next, it activates the instant you grip the pistol naturally. Finally, it’s designed to add no extra girth, so it still fits most existing Kahr holsters.

Will this  Crimson Trace Kahr CW9-PM40 Polymer OM FA fit my Kahr pistol?

Yes, across a wide range of Kahr models. So this Laserguard fits the CW9, CW40, P9, P40, PM9, PM40, TP9, TP40, CM9, CM40, CT9, and CT40. However, it does not fit the Kahr K9 or CW45. Therefore, confirm your exact model before ordering, since Kahr’s lineup includes several similar-looking frames that aren’t all compatible.

How does front activation actually work?

It uses your natural firing grip, not a manual button press. So the moment you grip the pistol normally, the laser activates automatically. Also, there’s no separate On/Off switch on this unit. Therefore, the laser stays off until your hand applies grip pressure, which keeps things simple under stress, though it means you can’t manually disable it for dry practice the way some grip-mounted lasers allow.

Does this attach to the grip or the trigger guard?

The trigger guard. So unlike Crimson Trace’s Lasergrips line, this Laserguard clips and screws onto the trigger guard area instead of replacing your grip panels. Also, that design keeps your factory grip texture and feel completely unchanged. Therefore, if you like your Kahr’s factory grip, this laser doesn’t take that away from you.

How accurate and bright is this laser?

It’s a 5mW red laser, factory sighted at 50 feet. So the dot measures approximately 0.5 inches in diameter at that distance. Also, this is the maximum legal output allowed for this laser class. Therefore, you get a genuinely bright, fully legal red dot for fast target acquisition in daylight or low light.

How long does the battery last, and is it easy to install?

Battery life runs over four hours of continuous on-time. So it uses one 1/3N 3V lithium battery, or two 357 silver oxide batteries as an alternative. Also, installation requires no gunsmithing. First, slide the laser side under the trigger guard. Next, snap the second half into place. Finally, tighten the included screws with the provided hex wrench, and you’re ready to sight in.
